If I think I can do better, then why dont I?These were the words spoken by this photographer in 1996. Born and raised in New York, I embarked upon my photography career with those words, after looking at a magazine spread that featured very lackluster work. In the beginning, self-taught and through college courses and later sharing a studio with accomplished fashion photographer Charlie Freeman in Dallas, I was on my way to making fashion and model photography a mainstay.Success has come in the form of tear-sheets, television productions, teaching photography workshops and various agency and clothing line work. My work has been published domestically and internationally, and I owe a debt of thanks to the models and makeup artist teams I have been fortunate to work with. The idea of photography untypical originated in 1996 when looking at that awful, yet published, photograph. There was no reason to be cookie cutter. There was no reason to do it like everyone else.
